Vietnam to Mexico: Complete Plug & Adapter Guide (2026) Adapter Needed
Planning a trip from Vietnam to Mexico? One of the first things to sort out before you travel is whether your electronics will work at your destination. Power outlets, plug shapes, and voltage standards vary around the world, and Mexico is no exception.
Since Vietnam and Mexico both support Type A plugs, you can use your chargers and appliances without a travel adapter. One less thing to worry about.
Be aware that Vietnam runs on 220V at 50Hz, while Mexico uses 127V at 60Hz. This voltage difference matters for appliances like hair dryers, curling irons, and electric shavers that aren't dual-voltage. Check the label on your devices. If it says "100-240V," you're fine. Otherwise, you'll need a voltage converter.
Don't forget that Mexico hotel rooms sometimes have a universal shaver socket in the bathroom, but these low-wattage outlets aren't suitable for high-draw devices. For reliable charging, use the standard wall outlets with a proper adapter.
