Taiwan to Kenya: Complete Plug & Adapter Guide (2026) Adapter Needed
If you're heading to Kenya from Taiwan, it's worth checking the power situation before you pack. Different countries use different outlet types and electrical standards, so your devices may not plug in directly when you arrive.
Your Taiwan plugs (Type A, B) won't fit Kenya's outlets (Type G). You'll want to grab a universal travel adapter or one specifically designed for Kenya before you depart.
The electrical standards differ significantly: Taiwan operates at 110V/60Hz and Kenya at 240V/50Hz. For single-voltage appliances (hair straighteners, kettles, etc.), this mismatch could damage your device or even be a safety hazard. Always verify your device's voltage rating before plugging in.
When packing for Kenya, bring at least one adapter per room if you're traveling with others. Airport shops often sell them at a markup, so ordering one online beforehand saves money. A small power strip from home can also multiply a single adapter into several outlets.
