Cuba to Ghana: Complete Plug & Adapter Guide (2026) Adapter Needed
If you're heading to Ghana from Cuba, it's worth checking the power situation before you pack. Different countries use different outlet types and electrical standards, so your devices may not plug in directly when you arrive.
Your Cuba plugs (Type A, B, C, L) won't fit Ghana's outlets (Type D, G). You'll want to grab a universal travel adapter or one specifically designed for Ghana before you depart.
The electrical standards differ significantly: Cuba operates at 110V/60Hz and Ghana at 230V/50Hz. For single-voltage appliances (hair straighteners, kettles, etc.), this mismatch could damage your device or even be a safety hazard. Always verify your device's voltage rating before plugging in.
Don't forget that Ghana hotel rooms sometimes have a universal shaver socket in the bathroom, but these low-wattage outlets aren't suitable for high-draw devices. For reliable charging, use the standard wall outlets with a proper adapter.
