China to Thailand: Complete Plug & Adapter Guide (2026) Adapter Needed
If you're heading to Thailand from China, it's worth checking the power situation before you pack. Different countries use different outlet types and electrical standards, so your devices may not plug in directly when you arrive.
Good news: China and Thailand share compatible plug types (Type A and C). Your existing plugs should fit directly into Thailand's outlets without any adapter needed.
The voltage and frequency in Thailand (230V, 50Hz) are close to China (220V, 50Hz), so your appliances should work without a converter.
Don't forget that Thailand hotel rooms sometimes have a universal shaver socket in the bathroom, but these low-wattage outlets aren't suitable for high-draw devices. For reliable charging, use the standard wall outlets with a proper adapter.
