China to Ireland: Complete Plug & Adapter Guide (2026) Adapter Needed
Whether it's a business trip or a vacation, traveling from China to Ireland requires a quick check on power compatibility. The last thing you want is to arrive and discover your charger doesn't fit the outlets.
There's no plug compatibility between China and Ireland. China devices use Type A/C/I connectors, while Ireland sockets are Type G. An adapter is a must-have for this destination.
On the voltage front, China (220V, 50Hz) and Ireland (230V, 50Hz) are very similar. You shouldn't need a voltage converter for your electronics.
A universal travel adapter with multiple plug configurations is a smart investment if you travel frequently. For Ireland specifically, look for one that supports Type G outlets. USB charging ports built into the adapter are a nice bonus.
